Left Unsaid for 49 bells meantone carillon is written in memory of Wim Henderickx. At the conclusion of Henderickx’ funeral ceremony, the two bells suddenly blended with the pedal tone from ‘Lament from Requiem.’ What started as just a small second transformed into a simultaneous minor and major third, the confrontation and union of minor and major. This harmony symbolizes the unity and multiplicity of the universe and forms the basis of this carillon piece.
